Update: Pekin Man Located After Walking Away From Caregiver Sunday

(PEKIN) – Update: Samuel Woodward has been located. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department Woodward was located around 7:40 a.m. this morning but no other details was provided.

Earlier story: The Washington County Sheriff’s Department, along with Pierce-Polk, Franklin, and Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Departments, are looking for a Pekin man who walked away from his caregiver this evening.

Emergency personnel started searching around 8:40 p.m. Sunday evening and the search discontinued around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.

The search will resume around 8:00 a.m. at the Pierce-Polk Volunteer Fire Department.

Samuel Woodward, age 68 walked away around 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

The male is described as wearing a light white and black checkered jacket, with a hood and blue jeans, his head tilts to the left and slumped over.

The subject was last seen in the Albertson Lane/ Bethel Lane area.

Emergency personnel is meeting at the Pierce-Polk Fire Station in Pekin to organize a search for the missing individual.
