Robert L. Wagner, 94, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the Hearthstone Health Campus in Bloomington.
Born August 19, 1926, in Terre Haute, he was the son of Virgil and Oray (Seibert) Wagner. He married Ruby George on September 27, 1947, in Terre Haute and she preceded him in death on February 5, 2012.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. He retired as an Ordinance Worker from NAD Crane and was a member of the Fairview Community Church.
Surviving Robert is his son, Everett Wagner and wife Susan of Bedford; a grandson, Aaron Wagner and wife Kasie of Bedford.; great-grandchildren, Elijah Jacob Wagner and Savannah Elizabeth Wagner; two nephews, Noel and Donald Kerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby; two sisters, Ilene Kerns and Bernice Kerns; a niece, Donna Isaacs; and two nephews, Ray Kerns and Larry Kerns.
Graveside services for Robert L. Wagner will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cresthaven Memory Gardens in Bedford with Pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Honor Guard of Gillen Post 33 of the American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Robert L. Wagner to the Life Food Pantry.
