Two Wanted Subjects Arrested Resulting In Additional Narcotics Charges

(LOOGOOTEE) – On Wednesday afternoon, Martin County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Tyler Reed learned of the possible location of Howard Phillips, who was wanted on a Dubois county warrant for neglect of a dependent.

Throughout the evening and night and into the early morning hours of Thursday, officers conducted surveillance of the residence where Phillips was believed to be inside.

During this time, officers saw Phillips exit and enter the residence several times.

Deputy Larry Gibson, Deputy Andrea Barnett, Reserve Deputy Josh Harmon, Reserve Deputy Jeffery Dorsey, and LPD Officer Aaron Means then converged on the residence and made contact with those inside the home.

The resident confirmed Phillips was inside the home. Officers entered and Phillips was arrested without incident.

Officers also located Jason Grow, who was wanted on a Martin County warrant for petition to revoke.

Phillips was transported to Dubois County and released into the custody of the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.

Grow was transported to the Martin County Security Center. During a search of Grow’s person, officers located meth, Alprazolam, and Oxycodone.

Grow is now facing new charges of possession of meth, and possession of a controlled substance.
