Two People Arrested On Drug Charges

(BEDFORD) – Two people were arrested Monday after a Bedford Police officer stopped their vehicle for a traffic violation.

Stacia Kern

Police arrested 27-year-old Stacia Kern and 41-year-old Cory Alcorn on charges of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, unlawful possession of a syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kern is also facing a charge of obstruction of justice.

According to Chief Terry Moore, Alcorn gave consent to officers to search the vehicle.

“During the search officers located paraphernalia, a syringe, and a clear plastic baggie containing a white power substance that tested positive for heroin,” said Chief Moore.

Kern was then asked if she had anything concealed in her body or elsewhere. She denied having anything on her and was transported to the Bedford Police Department.

During processing, Kern reached around towards the back of her pants. She was asked again if she had anything concealed and she admitted to concealing syringes. The items were retrieved and the additional charge of obstruction of justice was added.
