(MONROE CO.) – The State Road 45/2nd Street bridge over I-69 will be named for fallen Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy Sarah Haylett-Jones next week.
A dedication ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Indiana Department of Transportation Sub District location in Bloomington. House Concurrent Resolution 17 was passed in February by the Indiana General Assembly to dedicate the bridge in memory of Deputy Haylett-Jones.
Deputy Haylett-Jones joined the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office after serving in the United States Air Force and Montgomery, Ala. Police Department.
