Traffic Stop Leads To Meth Charges

(LOOGOOTEE) – Last Thursday, Loogootee Police Department Captain Jason Hennette conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction.

His K-9 Roxy conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and indicated the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle.

A search by Captain Hennette and Martin County Sheriff Deputy Major Keith Keller resulted in the arrest of 42-year-old Connie Carlson, of Loogootee.

Carlson was charged with possession of methamphetamine and neglect of a dependent. Carlson was transported to the Martin County Security Center where she is being held on a $15,000 bond.
