(BEDFORD) – During the city council meeting on Monday evening City Councilman Brad Bough asked Planning Director Brandon Woodward to look into the structural integrity of Broadview Bowl building located on 29th Street.
“This building sits in my district and next to a housing addition and apartment building across the street. This building is deteriorating rapidly and I would like to see what can be done,” stated Bough.
Woodward stated there are some things the department can look into and ask them to take care of, but other things may not be within the city’s authority.
Back in 2019, Chuck Henley was planning on renovating the building and keep it a bowling alley, laser tag, and skating rink. However, that deal fell through after the selling price of the property increased and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security asked for sprinklers to be added to the location.
