(BEDFORD) – A Mitchell man was injured after he crashed his motorcycle on State Road 158 on Saturday afternoon near Highwater Road.
According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report, officers responded to the crash at 4:49 p.m.
Police say 33-year-old Kevin Wilcox was traveling west on State Road 158 when for an unknown reason his 1992 Yamaha TW 2000 motorcycle went off the north side of the roadway and struck a guardrail and then stopped on the rocks.
Wilcox suffered internal injures and was flown by an AirEvac helicopter to the University of Louisville for treatment.
