(JACKSON CO.) — Milestone Contractors plans to close the center median at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Myers Street in Seymour next week in connection to the pavement reconstruction project that began in April.
The median is expected to close around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning (Sept. 22) and reopen Friday (Sept. 25). Under the closure, crews will remove the existing concrete pavement, install new sub-grade treatment and place permanent asphalt.
Entrances to area businesses near the intersection will remain open. Eastbound motorists will need to turn around or use an alternate route to access locations along and off of U.S. 50 westbound. Westbound motorists will do the same to access locations on U.S. 50 eastbound.
