(BEDFORD) – An ambulance was summoned to the Lawrence County Jail early this morning after a female inmate was found unconscious.
The 35-year-old female inmate was found during a routine cell check or walk through around 12:54 a.m.
The log noted the female was not breathing, but Sheriff Mike Branham said the woman was breathing on her own.
“The female was transported to a local hospital and after a few hours was released and returned to the jail,” Sheriff Branham added.
