Mitchell Persimmon Festival Virtual Events

(MITCHELL) – The 2020 Mitchell Persimmon Festival originally scheduled for September 19-26, 2020 has been canceled. But organizers are now organizing some fun virtual events.

Virtual events will open for the public at 8 a.m. on September 19 and close at 9 p.m. on September 26 on the Mitchell Persimmon Festival Facebook page.

The public is encouraged to post their photos and comments in the events to participate. Virtual events are for you to post a photo of an item that corresponds to the event title. For example, in the Arts and Crafts event, you would post a photo of some crocheting, knitting, craft, or artwork you created. People can see your photo, comment on it, and become connected to that event. Many can attend the same event, not by physically being there but by showing photos of the topic the event is representing.

Virtual Events:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Art Exhibit
  • Photo contest
  • Quilt Show
  • Cruise-in
  • Motorcycle Show
  • Tractor Show
  • Kids Photos
  • Pudding Contest
  • Dessert Contest
  • 5-K Run – take a photo of our starting point, run your 5-K, and then take a photo at your finishing point.

Officials are planning to create a virtual parade in a slide show from photos from the virtual events.
