Stars sweep short-handed Generals

BNL’s Steven Graham posted a win at No.2 singles as the Stars swept Clarksville on Tuesday.

CLARKSVILLE – Bedford North Lawrence took advantage of short-handed Clarksville for a 3-0 victory during boys high school tennis action on Tuesday.

The Generals, already limited with only six players on the roster, were down to four after an auto accident and an illness claimed two more over the weekend.

Adam Tlustek paced the Stars with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph over Ethan Neal at No.1 singles, while Steven Graham topped Terry Morgan 6-1, 6-0 at No.2.

BNL’s Konley Woodward and Cameron Gratzer fought off Aiden Craig and Jaylen Reyes 6-3, 4-6, 10-2 in a third-set supertiebreaker.

The Stars (7-5) will visit Brownstown on Thursday.
