(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man was arrested Saturday night after Bedford Police officers were alerted to a possible intoxicated driver.

Bedford Police officers arrested 34-year-old Dusty Davis.

According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, officers received information of an impossible intoxicated driver traveling south on Mitchell Road in a red truck.

Officers located the truck and after noticing several traffic violations stopped the driver.

Police say Davis performed poorly on several field sobriety tests.

“He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw.  Once at the hospital Davis refused to cooperate with the officer by attempting to pull away and eventually kicking the officers,” said Chief Terry. “Once Davis was under control a blood draw was performed and then he was transported to jail.”

Davis is facing charges on operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment, OWI, OWI with a prior conviction, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer, driving while driver’s license suspended with a prior conviction, and citation for unsafe lane movement.
