Obituary: Joann Horner

March 6, 1929 – September 2, 2020

Joann Horner, 91, of Bedford, passed away at 10:37 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born March 6, 1929, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Wayne and Ruth (Frye) Stultz. She married Paul Fish and he preceded her in death on May 24, 1981. She later married James R. Horner and he preceded her in
death on November 3, 2008. She was a homemaker and member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. She was a member of the Needmore Alumni Assoc. and a big Purdue fan.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Baker and husband, Tracy, of Bedford and Jill Green and husband, Bob, of IL; nine grandchildren, Trent and Erin Todd, Danielle and Darin Fish, Troy and Jody Todd, Brad and Kelly
Baker, Tim and Andrea Baker, Jerrod Green, Zach Green, Chelsea Green, Amanda, and Miguel Hernandez, and J.D. Horner; eighteen great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Toby Todd, of Heltonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a daughter, Debbie Todd, a sister, Evelyn Rodgers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2020, at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church with Jeff Hudelson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the church. The family asks that social distancing be observed and masks are required.

The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made in Joann’s memory to the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church.
