Bloomington Mayor, City Leaders, Community Partners Discuss Recovering Forward: Toward Sustainable Quality Of Life

(BLOOMINGTON) – Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton’s Recover Forward initiative seeks to support climate justice and enhance the quality of life in an equitable, sustainable way as Bloomington rebuilds from the current public health and economic crises.

In a Zoom conference call Wednesday, August 12, from 1 to 2 p.m. (E.D.T.) to be streamed live at the City of Bloomington Facebook page, Mayor Hamilton joins with the City’s Public Works Director Adam Wason; Tina Peterson, President, and CEO of the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County; the City’s Assistant Director for Sustainability Lauren Travis; the City’s Local Food Coordinator Rachel Beyer; and Steve Kramer, Weatherization Program Manager at the South Central Community Action Program to discuss and answer questions about proposed investments in energy efficiency, bike/ped and transit improvements, the local farm economy, and social service and arts funding.
