Bedford Parks Department To Conduct Public Meeting On August 18th At Wilson Park Shelter House

(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Parks Department will conduct a public meeting on Tuesday, August 18th at 4:30 p.m. at the Wilson Park Shelter House.

The public hearing is in regards to creating a potential dog park for the City of Bedford in the area of the ballfield at Wilson Park.

The public is welcome to attend and encouraged to share their input and views so that an appropriate decision can be made.

Forest Moser, Clint Mundy, Cody Huggins, and Seth Christenberry took a Friday evening and played softball at Wilson Park.

“I am not going to push for a dog park; people want to use it for a dog park… fine, they in fact kind of use it now anyway for that purpose. But for myself if they want to keep it as a ballpark I would be fine with it,” stated Sarah Glasgow who was walking her dog Papa at Wilson Park on Friday evening.

However, some individuals would like to keep Wilson a ballpark.

“When Murray is full where are people going to go to play ball. Bedford does not have much to offer youth or adults trying to keep out of trouble,” said Forest Moser who was playing softball with a group of friends.
