(SEYMOUR) – The Seymour Police Department released a statement on the arrest of one of their detectives for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
On Saturday, August 8, a Columbus Police Department officer made a traffic stop on State Road 11 in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. During the vehicle stop and investigation, Seymour Police Detective Brian C. Franklin was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Detective Sergeant Franklin was booked into the Bartholomew County Jail.
Franklin has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. The findings will be forwarded to the Seymour Board of Works and Public Safety.
