(MORGAN CO.) – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction and subcontractor E&B Paving Inc. plan to begin full-depth concrete patching and joint repair later this week on State Road 144 at State Road 67 in Mooresville.
The intersection will remain open while work is in progress, but lanes will be closed and traffic will be shifted for up to one week in each direction while work is in progress. Closures/shifts are planned as follows:
- Beginning Friday, Aug. 7: S.R. 144 EB thru lane and shoulder closed, traffic shifted to north side of S.R. 144 — designated left-turn, thru and right-turn lanes available/open
- Beginning Friday, Aug. 14: S.R. 144 WB left-turn lane, thru lane, right-turn lane, and shoulder closed, traffic shifted to south side of S.R. 144 — designated left-turn, thru and right-turn lanes available/open
The patching and joint repair work is part of a $4.1 million superstructure replacement contract for the S.R. 67 bridges over Little White Lick Creek located just south of S.R. 144. Work will continue on both bridges through late October.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, watch for stopped traffic and drive distraction-free through all work zones. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
