(BEDFORD) – A Seymour man was arrested on Sunday after Bedford Police officers issued a lookout notice for a man who was suspected to be traveling to a home on Pinhook Road and possibly armed with a gun.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies stopped 48-year-old Anthony Rivers’ vehicle on US 50 East.
“During the investigation Rivers was found to be in possession of a knife and handgun,” said Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults. “He had no license to possess the handgun and was subsequently arrested and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.”
Rivers is facing a charge of possession of a handgun without a permit.
