Boy Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle

(BEDFORD) – A Bedford boy complained of head and neck pain after his bicycle was struck by a vehicle at M and 4th streets on Friday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police report, 67-year-old LeRoy Harrell, of Bedford, was traveling north on M Street and was approaching 4th Street. At the same time, 10-year-old Colsyn Grubb was on his bicycle in the roadway on 4th Street and was crossing M Street.

Both told police they didn’t see the other.

Harrell’s 2020 Chrysler Pacifica struck Grubb’s bicycle.

Grubb was transported by an IU Health Hospital ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

Harrell was transported to IU Health Hospital for a blood-draw which is standard practice.
