Two Arrested On Drug Charges

(BEDFORD) – Two people were arrested after Bedford Police officers were called to the Super 8 Motel after a report of an unresponsive female who was not breathing.

Katelynn Wade

When police arrived they found 25-year-old Katelynn Wade, of Bedford, on a bed, turning blue and not breathing. Officers administered two doses of Narcan and she started breathing. An ambulance crew arrived and transported Wade to a local hospital for treatment.

Devin Downham

Officers then spoke to 31-year-old Devin Downham, of Williams, who gave officers permission to search the room.

“That search resulted in the location of methamphetamine, paraphernalia, syringes, and fentanyl,” said Chief Terry Moore. “DCS was contacted as well as relatives to pick up a juvenile inside the room.”

Once Wade was medically cleared she was transported to jail on charges of possession of a narcotic drug, unlawful possession of a syringe, neglect of a dependent, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of meth.

Downham is facing charges of possession of a narcotic drug, unlawful possession of a syringe, and possession of meth.
