Washington High School Graduation Will Be Held Virtually

(WASHINGTON) – Washington High School Principal Steve Peterson says high school graduation plans have been canceled.

Peterson says the local Health Department, in response to Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order on Wednesday, is prohibiting the high school from proceeding with a graduation ceremony in the Hatchet House.

However, plans are being made for a virtual ceremony in the auditorium for graduates only.

Plans are being made to live-stream the event so family and friends can be with the students in the safety of their own homes.

For those who can’t watch live, the event will be accessible for later viewing.

The virtual ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the auditorium on Saturday, July 11′ 2020.
