(DAVIESS CO.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces they will close a portion of State Road 645 for a pipe replacement project.
Beginning on or around Wednesday, July 8 INDOT maintenance crews will close State Road 645 near Burns City about two miles east of the intersection of U.S. 231.
During this project workers will be replacing a drainage culvert, requiring full excavation.
Work is expected to take about two days depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for local traffic up to the point of closure, however all through traffic should seek an alternate route using the nearest state maintained highways, U.S. and interstate routes.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
