Dementia Support Group Starts Wednesday, July 8

(BEDFORD) – Community members caring for loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias are invited to the IU Health Community Health Alzheimer’s Resource Service Care Circle support group at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8 at the Free Methodist Church (630 R St, Bedford, IN 47421).

The group will meet on the second and last Wednesday of the month.

IU Health Community Health Alzheimer’s Resource Service Community Outreach Associate Amanda Mosier

“The Care Circle support group offers education, help, and support for caregivers,” said IU Health Community Health Alzheimer’s Resource Service Community Outreach Associate Amanda Mosier. “It’s a great opportunity to learn and to lean on a group of people who can relate to what you’re going through.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this support group will be taking additional precautions and will be limited to seven in-person participants.

Those interested in attending in person are encouraged to sign up at their earliest convenience by clicking here.

“We want to keep everyone as safe as possible,” said Mosier. “So we’re offering a virtual option for others who want to attend, including people who aren’t comfortable attending in-person.”

Please contact Mosier at 812-353-9310 if you would like to join the group virtually via Zoom.

Attendees will enter the side door of the Free Methodist Church (there will be signs) and will gather downstairs in the Fellowship Hall per church requests. Participants will also be provided with a facemask at the door.
