Obituary: Clinton Arthur Roberts

October 18, 1930 – April 12, 2020

Clinton Arthur Roberts, 89 of French Lick passed away on April 12, 2020, at Springs Valley Meadows.

He was born in Orange County to Clinton and Ella Roberts on October 18, 1930. Clint served in the US Army as a paratrooper, served in the US Marine
Corps as a Sargent and the Indiana National Guard for a total of eleven years. During his service, he served in Korea earning a Purpleheart, Bronze Star, Korean service medal. and Presidential Commendation Medal, He was also a prisoner of War. Clint was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Marine Corps Auxiliary Club. After serving his country, Clint held various jobs including running a truck stop in Salem, managing several hotels, and working in security.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

He is survived by two sisters, Vickie of Indianapolis and Betty of Bloomington, one son, Tony Roberts, Clint married Violet Holt Roberts and they were married for 55 years until his death.

He was preceded in death by five step-children and survived by three step-children, Judy Wilson of Liberty, Kentucky, Ronnie Jones of French Lick and Debbie Smith of Shoals, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren

Clinton’s cremains will be laid to rest with his wife Violet Roberts on Monday June 29, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.

Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements.
