ALDI Recalls Little Salad Bar Brand Garden Salads

(UNDATED) – ALDI, in association with Fresh Express Inc., recalled ALDI’s 12-ounce Little Salad Bar Brand Garden Salads from stores in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

This is due to a possible Cyclospora infection. Cyclospora is a microscopic parasite that can affect the intestinal tract and cause diarrhea (loose stool/poop) in those who get infected. People get infected when they eat or drink food or water contaminated with the parasite.

The affected Little Salad Bar Garden Salad was sold in a 12 oz. bag, has a UPC code of 4099100082975 and have Best If Used By dates of May 1 through June 29.

No other ALDI products are affected. If customers have the affected Little Salad Bar Garden Salad, they should discard it immediately.

FDA continues this investigation and there may be additional retailers and products impacted by this outbreak.

FDA is working with retailers to ensure the potentially adulterated products are effectively removed from the market place.
