J Street Stormwater Project Should Be Completed By The End Of Week

(BEDFORD) – The stormwater project on J Street should be completed by the end of the week.

Stormwater repairs on J Street should be completed by end of week weather permitting.

Utility Director Misty Adams wanted to get the stormwater repairs completed before the paving of J Street gets underway.

The limestone walls around the area caved in and the connection of stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water all had to be worked on.

The completion of this project is dependent on weather conditions. Once the repairs are complete Flynn & Sons will be contacted and they will begin the milling process.

It will take about two to three weeks to start the milling process.

The stormwater repair work is being performed by Infrastructure Systems for $75,512.

Paving along Lincoln Avenue at 7th Street will also be started following the J Street completion. The work along Lincoln Avenue will repair the rough surface following a stormwater repair in that area.

Bedford Mayor Sam Craig is hoping to have all the work completed with the next couple of months.
