Most of the events held by the camp have been canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, retreats by sponsoring churches should begin in the fall.
Wonder Valley Christian Camp is located within the rolling hills of southern Indiana. Over 125 acres with waterfalls, creeks, and deep valleys with forested ridges surround the camp.
The Wonder Valley Christian Camp started in 1946 as the dream of Art Morris, minister of the Walnut Grove Christian Church, and Forrest Wilkin, minister of the Orleans Christian Church. The goal was to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the early days the campers slept on straw mattresses and showered under the waterfalls. Meals were cooked in an old smokehouse and a big year was over 70 campers.
Today thousands have enjoyed the Wonder Valley Christian Camp and modernization of many facilities has taken place for those who wish to have a good time and learn about the Gospel.
