Branham won with 50.23 percent of the votes (2975) to McCracken’s 49.77 percent with of the votes (2948) .

“I am thrilled to death and excited,” said Branham. “It was closer then I expected. This is just the first step. I hope things change with this COVID-19 which made it a difficult election. It was impossible to campaign and visit with the voters. I am looking forward to getting out on the campaign trail. I hope to have an opportunity to go door to door and visit with the voters.”

Several attempts were made to contact Gene McCracken but WBIW received no response by deadline. This story will be updated if a response is received.
