Early Voting Underway At Courthouse Plaza

(BEDFORD) – Early voting is underway at Courthouse Plaza located across the street from the Lawrence County Courthouse on 16th Street.

Voting is being conducted in the former WorkOne location to help facilitate social distancing and precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Voters were lined up and ready to vote early Tuesday morning.

“So far, we are off to a great start with more than 130 voters casting ballots to start off this morning,” said Heather Dela Cruz, Voter Registration Clerk. “This year, we have a lot of young persons interested in working this year’s election and excited to be a part of this year’s election process. We have plenty of workers; we had only a few minor issues with voting machines that were quickly taken care of.”

“We have reserved parking along 16th Street for voters as well as a few inside the courthouse square to be able to get voters in and out,” Cruz added.
