Incidents – May 17

  • 7:06 a.m. Report of erratic drivers southbound on State Road 37 in a black Dodge Charger and a silver Hyundai SUV 
  • 8:27 a.m. Lift assist in the 510 block of Lemon Quarry Road. An 80-year-old female fell and can’t get up
  • 9:28 a.m. 911 call hang up in the 2210 block of 27th Street. Bedford Police were alerted
  • 9:40 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a black car at State Road 37 and Trogdon Lane
  • 9:41 a.m. Medical emergency in the 4380 block of Old State Road 37. An 84-year-old male was suffering a possible stroke
  • 10:26 a.m. Request for animal control to the 900 block of Noe Road for a goat out
  • 12:08 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a female in the 750 block of Mill Creek Road. The caller could hear screaming outside and there were 8 people stuck under the outhouse. The caller heard from Rough Cut Ministries that if the cops arrived and left the driveway a bomb would go off. Police could find no issues
  • 12:31 p.m. Agency assist at North Pike Road, just south of Washboard Road
  • 12:32 p.m. 911 call in the Rural King parking lot. A motor vehicle was overheated
  • 1:41 p.m. Follow up investigation at the Dollar General Store on US 50 East
  • 1:41 p.m. Theft of a license plate in the 90 block of Maple Run Boulevard
  • 2:11 p.m. Deputies assisted Bedford Police officer on an accident scene
  • 3:04 p.m. Follow up investigation at Circle K

  • 3:48 p.m. Request for animal control to the 40 block of Dawn Lane because a neighbor is letting their dog run loose and it is continuously coming on their property. 
  • 4:01 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Art Gallery Road
  • 4:07 p.m. Report of an erratic female driver on Ridge and North Sandstone roads. Police escorted the woman to the 250 block of Louie Smith Road. The female was just tired
  • 4:13 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Wesley Chapel Road
  • 4:26 p.m. Request for animal control in the 830 block of Trinton Circle. The neighbor’s black pit bull was running loose
  • 5 p.m. Countywide volunteer fire department radio check
  • 5:19 p.m. Traffic stop in the 550 block of Port Williams Road
  • 5:25 p.m. Domestic fight at Meridian Road and Vine Street
  • 5:28 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 West and Blue Springs Cavern Road
  • 5:31 p.m. Report of an erratic driver at State Road 37 at the Mitchell McDonald’s
  • 5:35 p.m. 911 call reporting a man out of control in the 3100 block of 29th Street
  • 5:37 p.m. Report of an unwanted male screaming at employees about his pizza not being ready at Casey’s in Oolitic
  • 5:42 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 West and Wesley Chapel Road
  • 6:14 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a gray Malibu westbound on State Road 446
  • 6:18 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 60 West and Cauble Lane
  • 6:28 p.m. Officers were out with a person at State Road 37 and Teke Burton Lane
  • 6:35 p.m. Officers were out person at State Road 37 and Teke Burton Lane. The male refused a ride
  • 6:46 p.m. Report of a 13-year-old male juvenile threatening to run away and causing problems in the 360 block of East Oolitic Road
  • 6:51 p.m. report a 13-year-old male with Aspergers has walked away from a home northbound on Tunnelton Road and the male is refusing to get in his grandmother’s vehicle. He is now walking through a field and is now walking toward the creek. The male then turned around and was walking back to the house. The male was stopped. An IU Health Hospital ambulance medically evaluated the teen and transported to the station. The male was released to his mother
  • 7:10 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Rariden Hill 
  • 7:24 p.m. 911 call in the 5800 block of State Road 60 East. It was an accidental call
  • 7:41 p.m. Request for animal control in the 750 block of Buddha Road for a stray dog7:51 p.m. Noise complaint in the 140 block of Dale Street. The neighbors were having a loud party. Police asked them to turn down the music. As soon as officers left the music was turned back up. Again police returned and told them to turn the music down and if they returned they would be issued a citation
  • 7:59 p.m. Report of unsafe shooting in the 1550 block of Younger Road
  • 8:35 p.m. An inmate with a head injury was transported to IU Health Hospital
  • 8:53 p.m. Officers made extra patrols in the 1620 block of State Road 54 West
  • 9 p.m. Report of a protective order violation in the 1740 block of Rariden Hill Road
  • 9:04 p.m. Citizen dispute in the 540 block of South 9th Street in Mitchell
  • 9:37 p.m. Officers made extra patrols on Mill Creek Road at the railroad tracks. The caller says someone has cut their fence
  • 9:49 p.m. Report of a suspicious person in the 290 block of Ingram Road. The caller says a driver of a gray Jetta is passed out in her driveway with the vehicle still running

  • 12:23 a.m. Lift assist in the 280 block of Guthrie Bend 
  • 2:04 a.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle at State Road 37 and US 50 West
  • 2:13 a.m. Report of power lines down in the 580 block of Leatherwood Road and a tree blocking the roadway
  • 2:34 a.m. Medical emergency at W Street and State Road 58 East
  • 4:09 a.m. The caller reported there are 9 boys and 7 girls or more in her house in the 70 block of Sunny Acres Drive. The caller thinks they are stealing items. The caller then stated there was a gang of children on bicycles in her yard and they have taken items from her home. The woman was having mental issues
  • 4:32 a.m. 911 call in the 2230 block of Ridge Road. It was an accidental call
