(DUBOIS CO.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a complete road closure for State Road 145 near Birdseye for a drainage structure replacement project.
Beginning on or around Monday, May 26, contractors will close S.R. 145 about 5 miles north of I64 to replace a small drainage structure. This project will require excavation across all lanes of traffic, and then replacement of the pavement.
During this project, local traffic will have access up to the point of closure, but all through traffic should use the official detour following I-64, S.R. 37 and S.R. 145. Work is expected to be complete by the end of July depending upon weather conditions.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
