(JACKSON CO.) – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving Inc. plans to begin work next week on U.S. 31 over Mutton Ditch Creek in Jackson County.
Starting on or after Monday (May 18), U.S. 31 will be restricted to one lane with a temporary traffic signal while crews apply a deck overlay. The bridge is located approximately one mile north of I-65 between Uniontown and Seymour.
This project is part of a multi-million dollar bridge rehabilitation contract that began last year. Work began on U.S. 31 over I-65 in March as part of the same contract and is expected to be complete in July. The entire contract will be complete this fall.
Motorists should slow down, watch for stopped traffic, and drive distraction-free through the work zone. All work is weather dependent.
