Kenneth L. Bell, 87, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Mitchell Manor.
Born September 12, 1932, in Orleans, he was the son of Howard Leon and Ruth (Lynton) Baylor. He married Faye Irene Allen on January 31, 1953.
Kenneth was a bus driver for Mitchell Community Schools for 29 years and retired from Hatfield Elementary School with 40 years of service. Kenneth loved his job and enjoyed the kids. He attended the Mitchell Wesleyan Church. Kenneth was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post No. 250.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Bell of Mitchell; grandchildren, Tessa (Cory) Mikels of Bedford, Daniel (Jennifer) Bell of Bedford; great-grandchildren, D. J. Randolph, Mason Gaines, and Kendal Spires, step-great-grandchildren, Jayce Mikels and Kyler Mikels; siblings, Larry (Roseanne) Bell of Mitchell, Emma James of Orleans
His parents; son, Danny Bell; and siblings, Sylvia Watterson, Betty Hackler, Linda Bell, Elizabeth Bell, Hazel Smith, Wanda Foster, and infant Wayne Bell, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be Monday, May 11, at Fairview Cemetery with Reverend Steve Jones officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
