Helen (Beasley) Abner, 84 of Bedford passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at 4:30 a.m. at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
She was born in Bedford on November 16, 1934, to William and Lillie (Fox) Beasley. Helen married Robert L. (Bob) Abner on September 7, 1952, and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1999. Helen was a homemaker and graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1952.
Survivors include her children, Janie McLean of Fairlope, Alabama, Mary Ann Ault, and husband Rudy of Medora, Robert (Les) Abner of Bedford, and Sharon Shirley of Bedford; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert L. (Bob) Abner, one son, Jeffrey (Red) Abner in 1997.
Private family services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Cresthaven Memory Gardens, with entombment to follow with Ralph Poole, officiating.
