Columbus Woman Arrested After Fleeing Police, Nearly Colliding Vehicle Into Fire Truck

(COLUMBUS) – A Columbus woman was arrested after Columbus Police say she fled in her vehicle, nearly struck a fire truck and then led police in a pursuit.

Officers were alerted at 6:25 a.m. Saturday morning to a possible overdose in the 3100 block of Miami Court.

Catina Caudill

When officers arrived, 29-year-old Catina M. Caudill began screaming at officers. She then got into her vehicle and took off with no headlights on, running over a curb and nearly crashing into the fire truck.

Police tried to stop her but she ignored a traffic light and sped off down 25th Street.

Bartholomew County deputies joined in the pursuit and tried to stop Caudill’s vehicle with tire deflating devices. Her vehicle hit the obstacles twice before finally being disabled near State Street and Repp Drive.

She was taken to Columbus Regional Health to be medically cleared before going to jail on charges of resisting law enforcement and driving while her driver’s license was suspended.
