EARN Indiana

EARN (Employment Aid Readiness Network) Indiana is the state’s work-study program. College students with financial need have access to resume-building, experiential, paid internships. More than 150,000 students are EARN Indiana eligible! Employers with an approved internship may receive state matching funds by hiring students — up to 50% of the student’s hourly rate—for hiring these students.

INTraining is Indiana’s resource to locate quality occupational training. It includes a broad and diverse selection of occupational training programs that support the employment goals of Indiana’s workforce. Qualifying individuals may receive free to low-cost occupational training and many programs can be done 100% online. Next Level Jobs

Next Level Jobs provide Hoosiers with free training in high-growth, in-demand job fields, including advanced manufacturing, building & construction, health & life sciences, IT & business, transportation & logistics. The Workforce Ready Grant pays for all tuition and regularly assessed fees for qualifying high-value certificates at any eligible training provider. Many qualifying programs can be done completely online. To qualify, recipients must be an Indiana resident and a U.S. citizen (or eligible non-citizen); have a high school diploma (or equivalent) but less than a college degree; and enroll in in any qualifying training program.


Eleven Fifty Academy

Eleven Fifty Academy teaches coding through accelerated, immersive course. People of all ages learn skills that are most in-demand among Indiana employers. More than 95% of Eleven Fifty students also qualify for substantial financial aid. Bonus: right now Intro to Coding and Intro to Cybersecurity classes are completely free!

Indiana University – Free & Discounted Courses

Learn technology skills at your own pace with IT Training’s online courses, hosted in IU Expand! While some courses on Expand have registration fees associated with them, IT offerings on IU Expand are available at no cost, and are self-study courses that you can work through at your own pace.
Available IT Training courses cover a range of technology skills and topics, including productivity, web development, design and media, and coding. Other courses on IU Expand include professional development, continuing education, non-credit, and certificate based courses.

Learn to code for free. Codecademy is an online interactive lesson platform that offers free coding classes in 12 different programming languages including Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, SQL, C++, Swift, and Sass, as well as markup languages HTML and CSS.
