Senior Spring Spotlight: MOLLY SIMMERMAN

Five questions with Bedford North Lawrence senior Molly Simmerman

Sport: Tennis: Career choice: Social work: College: IU Southeast

Question 1: What lessons did high school sports teach you?

Simmerman: It taught me how to work hard and be a teammate. I learned a lot from my coaches, Joni and Jason (Stigall). I learned a lot about sportsmanship and respect for my opponents and my team.

Question 2: What will you miss most about high school?

Simmerman: I will miss seeing the people that I have grown up with since I was little. We are all going separate ways, so it’s sad.

Question 3: Can you describe your emotions after the season was cancelled?

Simmerman: We had already started conditioning and I was really looking forward to my senior season. When I heard the news, I was devastated. I just really wanted a Senior Night and now that won’t happen.

Question 4: Who has been your role model?

Simmerman: My mamaw has been my role model because she puts family first and she makes everyone around her feel good.

Question 5: When the current restrictions are lifted, who’s the first person you want to see?

Simmerman: I want to see my mamaw and papaw. We have family dinner every Sunday at their house, and I can’t wait to get back to doing that.
