Bridge Rehab Scheduled For State Road 145 Near French Lick

(ORANGE CO.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a lane closure on State Road 145 south of French Lick for a bridge rehab.

Beginning on or around Tuesday, April 21, contractors will begin closing one lane of State Road 145 near Cox Road to begin a bridge superstructure replacement.

During this operation, workers will completely replace the main support structures for the bridge, which will require the bridge deck to be removed and replaced as well.

Lane closures will be in place around the clock. Traffic will be controlled by a temporary traffic signal and the remaining open lane will be restricted to 11-feet wide. Wider loads should seek an alternate route.

Work on this phase is expected to last until early June, depending upon weather conditions.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
