Cathy Jo McFarland, 63, of Orleans, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at her residence.
Born May 10, 1956, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Cecil Melton and Janet (Jenkins) Eagan. She married Steven Dwight McFarland on June 3, 1994, and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2012.
Cathy was employed at Big Lots many years and was a member of Orleans Christian Church. She enjoyed being with her grandkids and watching their sports events. Cathy graduated from Bedford High School in 1974.
Survivors include her children, Michelle (Russell) Ingle of Orleans, Mary Ann (Larry) Knight of Orleans, JoAnn (Ryan) Nicholas of Orleans, Ashley (Wayne) Holt of Orleans, son, Cody (Jenilee) White of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Cameron and Gage Holt, R. J., Dustin, Brandon, and Caleb Ingle, Autumn Grissom, Alyssa Fullen, Bryan, Brandon, and Brooklyn Knight, John Luttrell, Breanna, and Hanna Shaw, Conner, Nathaniel, and Talecea Nicholas, Marleigh Richey, Mia and Belle White, Savannah McVicker, and Mason White; great-grandchildren, Jada Wilder, Haizleigh Archer, Aria, Addison, and Rose Ingle; siblings, Mike Eagan of Bedford, Timmy (Cindy) Melton of Paoli, Rosemary (Boyd) Godsey of Bedford, Donna (Jeff) Richie of North Carolina, Tina (Mike) Beedie of Bedford, Diana Starr of Bedford, Lori Gorman of Bedford, Cindy (Rod) Curren of Mitchell, and Tammy (Keith) Bowling of Orleans
Her mother; husband; son, Michael White; and great granddaughter, Braelyn Hendley, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be Thursday, April 16, at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Mike Hester officiating. A memorial service will be at a later date with Pastor Tom Bostic officiating.
