News From Boys & Girls Club Of Lawrence County

(BEDFORD) – The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County are keeping your children busy, happy, active and healthy.

The Club is serving meals and snacks every Monday-Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

They are also handing out homework packets to those families that want to keep their kid’s brains busy during this trying time,” said Resource Development and Marketing Director Timber Browning. “And today we are handing out some type of goodies from the Bedford Fire Department.” These items include books, stickers, little fire trucks, tattoos, etc.

Next week those attending will receive STEM kits.

“These kits will come with everything needed to complete the activity,” Browning added. “There will be 4 different kits, one kit handed out one week, a different one the next and so on.”

“Parents are asked to fill out the simple Google form,” added Browning. “This can be done on their phones, so their child can participate in our Virtual Programming that will start shortly. Parents have to sign a waiver to allow children to participate.”
