Linton Police Arrest Two In Murder Case

(LINTON) – On Wednesday, Linton Police Department Detectives arrested two individuals related to the March 17th murder of John P. Chapman.

On March 18th, Linton Police Officers responded to an abandoned residence on 1st Street Southeast, in Linton. Upon arriving, the officers located the body of an adult male, who was identified as 46-year-old John P. Chapman, of Linton. Circumstances and a subsequent autopsy determined that Chapman was murdered.

“The Linton Police Department, led by primary investigator Sgt. Logan Hobbs, was assisted by the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office, the Jasonville Police Department, Greene County Sheriff’s Department, the Indiana State Police, and the United States Marshal Service,” said LPD Chief Clark.

“These officers worked diligently and extensively investigating this murder, which culminated into arrests tonight.”

Police arrested 34-year-old Brandon Allen Christopher Lee Criss, of Linton, and a juvenile. Both were booked into the Greene County Jail on charges related to the Chapman’s murder.
