  • 8:19 a.m. Report of three calves in the roadway on State Road 446, north of Heltonville
  • 9:39 a.m. Alarm sounding in the 4380 block of State Road 37. It was an accidental alarm
  • 9:47 a.m. Agency assist at State Road 37 and 35th Street. Bedford Police arrested a female
  • 11:19 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1120 block of West Main Street. A 37-year-old male was having trouble breathing. An AMR ambulance responded
  • 11:23 a.m. Child custody dispute in the 820 block of Coxton Road
  • 11:35 a.m. Threats in the 90 block of Preston Lane. The caller says her husband’s 30-year-old son is threatening to burn down their house and they are requesting to speak to an officer. The couple believes the son is using drugs. The couple was told to call police if the son returned
  • 11:38 a.m. Threats in the 20 block of Brick Street at Gear Works in Springville. A male reported he had been threatened by his father and will not return to the business. The male sounded as if he was under the influence of some type of drug
  • 12:31 p.m. Controlled fire in the 1620 block of Beaver Creek Road
  •  1:40 p.m. 911 call in the 20 block of Lakeside Estates. It was an accidental call
  • 1:53 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a black Grand Am and a brown Chevrolet extended cab truck westbound at State Road 158 at Revere’s Food & Fuel
  • 2:26 p.m. Juvenile problem in the 4050 block of South Leatherwood Road. A 15-year-old male with special needs says their son is out of control and hitting the car. He is now in the car and calmed down 
  • 2:37 p.m. Medical emergency in the 610 block of Sasser Drive. A 59-year-old woman was having trouble breathing. The Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department responded. The woman was transported to the hospital
  •  2:50 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a silver Cavalier southbound on State Road 37 at the Oolitic light
  • 3:58 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 210 block of Old State Road 450. No one was at the home 4:08 p.m. Medical emergency alarm sounding in the 100 block of East Deckard Drive in Mitchell. It was a false alarm
  • 4:32 p.m. 911 all at State Road 60 West and Davey Cox Road. The caller reported a possible intoxicated driver but the driver turned into a driveway
  • 4:52 p.m. Request for animal control to the 6320 block of State Road 158 for two pit bulls running loose. The dogs have been on the caller’s property four times today
  • 4:59 p.m. Report of a burglary in the 8510 block of State Road 54 at Avoca Storage. Two units had been broken into and items are missing
  • 5:16 p.m. Request for animal control to the 720 block of Underwood Road for a stray dog that is on his property. The caller says the dog is friendly but is afraid the dog may attack his sheep. The dog was gone when police arrived
  • 5:29 p.m. Lift assist in the 210 block of Mississippi Road in Mitchell. A female has fallen and needs help getting up. 
  • 5:43 p.m. Alarm sounding in the 1300 block of West Main Street at the bank
  • 5:58 p.m. House check in the 10 block of Robbins Lane in Williams. The home was secure
  • 6:11 p.m. 911 call in the 520 block of Oolitic Road. A child was playing with the phone
  • 6:32 p.m. Alarm sounding in the 2680 block of Rabbitsville Road. Police found that someone attempted to break into the home and will make extra patrols
  • 7:12 p.m. EMS was placed on standby for Orange County
  • 7:16 p.m. Medical emergency in the 380 blok of Liberty Bell Street
  • 7:17 p.m. Medical emergency in the 2840 block of Boone Hollow Road. A 32-year-old male was having trouble breathing and a fever
  • 7:53 p.m. Controlled fire in the 3140 block of State Road 158
  • 8 p.m. Medical emergency at Persimmon Park Apartments. A female was having trouble breathing
  • 8:48 p.m. Medical emergency in the 600 block of West 9th Street in Oolitic.  The caller says her daughter is choking and has stopped breathing. The child is fine now
  • 8:49 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a Sonoma on 14th Street in Mitchell headed toward Main Street at a high rate of speed
  • 9:05 p.m. Request for animal control to the 910 block of Newby Street. The caller says the neighbor’s dog keeps coming on their property and this is an on-goning problem10:13 p.m. Report of possible gunshots in the 1210 block of West Oak Street in Mitchell. Police checked the area and found no issue

  • 12:19 a.m. Disturbance in the 540 block of South 9th Street. There are two four-wheelers going up and down the roadway
  • 3:50 a.m. Report of a vehicle with the tire blown out on the side of the roadway at Dixie Highway and Old US 50
  • 3:57 a.m. Alarm sounding at Casey’s in Oolitic. The building was secure
  • 3:58 a.m. Report of a disabled vehicle at State Road 37 and Washboard Road. Indiana State Police tagged the vehicle for towing

Accidents – March 24

  • 2:30 p.m. Property damage accident in the 390 block of Barrett Lane
  • 2:52 p.m. 911 call in the 8250 block of Old State Road 37. A truck struck a tree but there is no one in the vehicle but there is blood on the airbags
