(ORLEANS) – Firefighters from the Orleans and Orange County Rural District 2 fire departments responded to an outbuilding fire at 272 East Adams Street Friday night.
The Orleans Fire Department arrived to find the outbuilding in flames at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Officials requested assistance from the Orange County Rural District 2 Fire Department who provided additional manpower and water supply to bring the fire quickly under control. Fire hydrants in the area were also utilized to help firefighters get the fire out.
The fire departments were on the scene for over an hour and a half battling the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Orleans Police Department, IU Health Ambulance Orange County, and Duke Energy were dispatched to the scene.
