Three-Day Closure of State Road 135 Begins Monday Morning in Brown County

(BROWN CO.) – INDOT maintenance crews will close State Road 135 in two locations in Brown County beginning Monday, March 23rd, weather permitting.

The road is expected to close to all traffic for three days for culvert replacement work. The work schedule may be extended due to weather.

Crews will first close the road at mile marker 90.7, between Bellsville Pike and Horseman Camp Road, south of Stone Head Nature Preserve. Then crews will move to mile marker 93, between Shepherd Road and Sunshine Ridge Road, north of Butterstone Cottage.

The first closure will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday morning. The road is scheduled to reopen by 8 a.m. on Thursday (March 26), weather permitting.

The road will be closed to all traffic while work is in progress. Access to driveways and mailboxes near each culvert will be maintained. Motorists should seek an alternate route. All work is weather dependent.
