Barricaded Incident in Huntingburg Ends Peacefully

(HUNTINGBURG) – Thursday at approximately 4:30 p.m., Troopers from the Indiana State Police, Jasper Post were asked to assist the Huntingburg Police Department to serve felony warrants on Jesse Hall, of 202 East 22nd Street, in Huntingburg.

Huntingburg Police advised that the warrants were issued in response to an incident that had been reported to them earlier in the day. Once the warrants were issued, Huntingburg Police made contact with Hall.

Officers asked him to turn himself in but Hall refused. Indiana State Police then responded and began negotiating with Hall to surrender himself peacefully.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., after several hours of negotiations, Hall surrendered himself without incident.

Information regarding the issuance of the warrants and charges should be forwarded to the Huntingburg Police Department.

Assisting at the scene were Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, Huntingburg Police Department, and Memorial EMS.
