Employment Law Seminar, Managing People Workshop Highlight Indiana Chamber’s March Event Lineup

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The 26th Annual Employment Law Seminar, one of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s most popular educational events, returns March 11. The seminar is presented in partnership with Faegre Drinker at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center in downtown Indianapolis.

The sessions will be led by Faegre Drinker (formerly Faegre Baker Daniels LLP) partners and associates on topics such as workplace investigations, non-compete agreements, brand protection, and collective litigation.

Continuing education credit and group discounts are available. The cost to attend is $399 for each Indiana Chamber member. The list price is $499.

The Supervising and Managing People Workshop, presented by Flashpoint, will take place on March 18-19 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center. The two-day event is designed to equip participants with the tools they need to effectively manage employees.

Day one focuses on what is expected of a supervisor and how to understand individual leadership styles. Learning to be an effective communicator is also covered early in the workshop. The second day begins with learning to better address conflict and differences of opinion with customers, co-workers and direct reports.

Attendees also will participate in mock scenarios to learn how to deliver performance feedback. The event will wrap up with a focus on how to recognize and motivate employees, plus better engage in a team setting.

The cost to attend is $599 for each Indiana Chamber member. the list price is $699.

There are also two BOOST events on the March calendar: Team Building/Decision Making/Using Good Judgement on March 5 and Cross-Department Communications/Conflict Management on March 26. BOOST is the Indiana Chamber’s soft skills education series and is hosted at the group’s conference center.

The cost to attend each BOOST event is $399 per Indiana Chamber member. List price is $499.
