Bullitt County, Kentucky Murder Suspect Apprehended on I-64

(VANDERBURGH CO.) – On Friday, the U.S. Marshals Task Force, which consists of officers from the U.S. Marshals Service, Indiana State Police, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and Evansville Police received information that 44-year-old Anthony Allen, of Louisville, was wanted for murder out of Bullitt County, KY, and was possibly in the Evansville area.

The alleged murder occurred on Saturday, February 8. Officers received information that Allen was possibly meeting his girlfriend, 42-year-old Tonya Middleton, of Louisville, at the Pilot Truck Stop located on US 41 at Warrenton Road in Gibson County.

Middleton is an over the road truck driver. At approximately 11:10 a.m. officers observed Middleton’s tractor-trailer leave the truck stop and go west on I-64. Moments later the U.S. Marshals Task Force and Indiana State Police conducted a traffic stop near the 17 mile-marker and located Allen inside the tractor-trailer.

Allen was arrested on charges of murder and an outstanding warrant out of Louisville, KY. and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held without bond. Middleton was arrested for assisting a criminal and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where she is currently being held without bond.
