You’re Invited to a Block Party

(BEDFORD) – Purdue Extension invites you and your child to a Block Party!

Children are born learners, and playing with blocks can provide experiences where they learn math, science, social, physical, creative, and problem-solving skills, as well as build new words and pre-reading skills.

Adults can guide children’s early learning experiences and use blocks as the tools.

Purdue Extension–Lawrence County is offering three “Block Party” programs for children ages 18 months through 8 years, and their parent(s)/caregivers.

These free Block Party events will take place at the following locations:

  • Mitchell Public Library on February 27th, at 4 p.m.
  • Bedford Public Library on March 24th, at 4 p.m.
  • Bedford Public Library on June 23rd, at 4 p.m.

For more information, or if you need special accommodations to participate, please contact the Purdue Extension–Lawrence County office in advance at 812-275-4623 or email richer@purdue.edu.

No registration is required for this free event. Come check out how you can help your child learn, play, and grow with blocks.
