Switz City Man Arrested on Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

(BEDFORD) – A Switz City man was arrested after a Bedford Police officer stopped his vehicle Monday morning for driving without headlights or taillights near 16th and G streets.

“During the conversation with the driver 53-year-old William Meek, officers noticed the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle,’ says Chief Terry Moore. “When asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle William handed the officer a hand-rolled cigarette that tested positive for marijuana.”

During the search of the vehicle officers located drug paraphernalia, and meth.  While at the jail, jail officers found more marijuana and meth was on William.

He was arrested on charges of dealing meth, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking with an inmate.
